Designed by master printmaker Matt Bagley in 2013, the Print Frog® Glass Baren is the original production hand-blown glass baren created specifically for relief printmaking. It was developed to give printmakers a practical, effective way to produce hand-pulled prints without a printing press.
Made from recycled glass and hand-blown by skilled glass artists in the United States to Iron Frog Press specifications, each Print Frog® is individually inspected and tested by Matt Bagley before shipping.

Each Print Frog® Glass Baren is hand-blown from recycled glass by skilled glass artists exclusively for Iron Frog Press and to our specifications.
Because every baren is individually made, slight variations in color, shape, and size, along with small air bubbles and subtle glass contours, are natural characteristics of the glassblowing process. These variations give each Print Frog® its own individual character.

This individual Print Frog® has bubbles inside top of the handle, visible in the listing photos. This is a natural variation from the hand-blown glassmaking process and does not affect the baren's printing performance.
These handmade characteristics are not defects; they are part of the individual character of each glass baren.
